Folding bike hooks

Give a man some offcuts and everything looks like it should be plywood

Reusing the captured ring hinge again I made some bike wall storage hooks. A 15 minute cut each. I don’t like the way the hook flexes so I both shortened it and also thicker it a bit to try and compensate. Got a couple more bikes to hang so there’s nothing wasted.

This is the first use I’ve made of the different workspaces - made easily available by the FluidTouch pendant and it made resetting after swapping offcuts. Really handy.

I made the hook a bit thicker and rounded off the back corners. You can see in the first ones I did there is some tear out in the acute corner angles, this solves that.

I’ve also been told that a coat of wax will help preserve them and reduce wear.
