FluidNC v3.9.4

I installed v3.9.4 yesterday and couldn’t get my Jackpot to connect to my home network. After every restart it reverted to AP mode. I finally gave up and reinstalled v3.9.3. Has anyone else experienced this?

It’s a brand new release and most of us haven’t yet upgraded as far as I know.

Are you willing to test the repeatability?

Back up all your files, then do a full wipe and reinstall of v3.9.4.
( run wipe.bat , install-wifi.bat, install-fs.bat ).
Then try to configure your network. If this process is repeatable in failing to connect, then it’s an issue either with FluidNC or something about your network.

I’ll be able to try this on one of my test Jackpots later today.

I tried 3.9.4 on a spare ESP32 last night. It connected to my home network fine.

I don’t have a spare Jackpot… so I didn’t test it all together, but the networking was at least fine for me

Do you install from the Source code or the install-wifi.bat? I used the source code since I have Ryan’s ESP32 with 8mb of ram.
I have an older Jackpot that I am going to try it on now.

I installed through the web installer. Just an upgrade from 3.9.3

Once you have the file system installed and partitioned, you should be able to still do firmware upgrades via the web installer as long as you choose the upgrade option and don’t tell it to install the filesystem again

I ran the install-wifi.sh and it successfully updated the older v1 Jackpot with a 4mb ESP32.
BTW, the webinstaller didn’t work on this board.

I’ll try the new Jackpot next.

Ok, I used the web installer and it worked this time. I had to restart the Jackpot after upgrading and it successfully connected to my wifi. I’m not sure why it didn’t work yesterday.
