Firmware help fluid

I been having major issues trying to update the firmware also. Tried many many times. Used MAC laptop and Windows 11 desktop. Heard Windows 11 does not work. Install the USB drivers as I did not have them installed. Saw a number of suggestions here that I tried. The MAC suggestion above returned permission not allow when I hit return. Not sure how to change and fix this.
Then I decided to take the ESP32 out and plug directly into my Windows computer (UBS cable). Found I had to USB load drivers. Ran the web installer and it worked! Finally. Took the ESP32 and reinserted it in my Jackpot board. Bootup and found macro and config gone. Uploaded backup copies and reboot. Everything works. I clicked on the upper hand corner of the webpage to see the Fluid NC version: 3.7.6. Hmmm… Reloaded the webpage thinking it was out of date. Still 3.7.6 Fluidnc. looking around I found FW parameter confirming (see attach pic). The web installer stated files loaded. Maybe I need to erase the drive first? Going to try that tomorrow night.

Hi,
I moved you to your own topic. Most of the time your issue is never the same as a previous one. Threads are free, so when in doubt please just start a new one.

not true, where did you hear this from so I can clear that up?

If you used the “erase” option they will get erased.

What does it say in the config page? That info page is kinda wonky we are in the process of updating it. Right now.

Looks like your original upload when the board was shipped to me (8/23). Note I try loading the most up to date version - 3.7.13 so maybe it has an issue. Thanks for the feedback.

I just installed FluidNC on an ESP32 from Windows 11. Had some weirdness, I needed to reboot the board a couple of times, but it worked fine.3.7.13 version. Updated another one from 3.7.6 to 3.7.13 as well.

This is a year old and for FluidNC - Jackpot. However, looking for the video IO read the notes. Author states he now solve the is issue. It was drivers.

I did not reboot as the drive was found. I did have to unplug and replug the ESP32. I try that also.

Thanks

I just took the ESP32 off the Jackpot and reconnected it to my Windows 11. Erase and loaded FluidNC 3.7.13. Before I reboot then upload the macros and config. This time I uploaded all additional files with the web installer first before rebooting the ESP32. Made it easier but not sure if that made difference or just reloading did.

Thanks for the quick replies tonight.
