Feedrate live adjustment?

Is it possible to adjust the feedrate in realtime while using a file with its set feedrate?

I tried to go in to the menu on the TFT screen while milling and change the feedrate but sadly it’s not changing anything (maybe meant for a 3d printer?).

You can change the speed by percentage. 100% being what you set in cam. <100% being slower and >100% being faster. If I remember right it’s the top right button on the tft if in touch mode.

Yeah, thats the one I’ve been trying to use but nothing happens. Went up to like 200% (on the screen) and nothing . I am aware that the machine has to finish its code segment first before it changes but still, nope

What feed rate are you setting in CAM? You might be hitting firmware max depending on what you are cutting and how fast you are trying to go. Just a thought. Does it slow down if you go less than 100%?

20mm/sec. I can’t recall going slower  I’ll have to check on that

It finished the buffer. Which may be several moves. If you want a good test, try doing it during some curved or highly detailed sections.

It also won’t break the max machine feedrate. But I think that is set to 50mm/s. So 20-40mm/s should be noticeable. Try dropping it lower and seeing how long it takes to respond. It takes a while if you are just cutting a big square.

You could also buy another control board and use Estlcam as the controller. :yum:
