Has anyone built an extendable table? I like the thought of a 4x8 but dont have an 8’ open wall. I planned on folding it up to the wall when not in use. So I’m thinking I can build a 4x4 or 4x6, then if I needed 8 ft I could “add” the extension.
I did that on my LR1. It works. But be honest if you’ll need that for jobs, or if it would be better to just break down the sheets. IMHO, 24"x36" is the sweet spot. You can do a whole lot with that size.
Thank you, I’ve always been the type to overbuild, I decided to get a knee mill one day and instead of getting a compact or even a Bridgeport….I got a great deal on an 11x58 Clausing 3hp 3phase monster. I use about 10% of its capabilities. I will rethink my project a bit. I can always buy extra belt and build it bigger if needed.
