I´ve made this part in shapr3d and would like to carve the curved hollow part of the model out of some 2x4" material. But I cant get my head around how to get estlcam to do that .
Any sugestions on how to do this?

I’ve machined various curves for lives steam projects, saddles, domes, etc. What I do is to produce a 3d solid, ie stl file of the curve you want machined then load that. 3d machining is required from Estlcam which comes up automatically. You then need to play around with Margin settings, and since it’s just the curve the cutter will stay within the boundary and not try to produce the outside shape.
It might pay to increase the designed length so the cutter can cut to the end, but test the resulting Gcode first!
