Did I read somewhere that when you power up the jackpot, the existing tool location becomes the 0,0 for the next cut?? Noob here 
Yep. If you don’t home the machine, where-ever it is on the table is set to be 0. Once you home it opens up and waits for the end-stops to trigger and then resets that as 0.

Yes, all 3 axis will be at ‘0’ when you fire it up.
Once I have cut a part and want to cut it again, is it possible to move the start point to say x=+8", with y & z remaining the same?
This is jackpot, so you would move where you want it. In command issue g92 x0
That will zero x., Do nothing else.
Thanks for the video. MOST helpful. I found your dust shoe on thingsverse. what is the difference in v2 & v3 dust shoe. Likewise for the 3 brushes? What did you use for your ‘brush’?
