Estel Cam file from Mac to FluidNC: Err 14

Hi - We have a lowrider that has been working fine. My son would make the CAM files on his windows laptop with Fusion.

I’ve jumped in the game using a Parallels version of Window 11 on my Mac mini to create the .nc file in Estlcam.

Saving the file to the SD, then opening on the FluidNC dashboard causes an error 14 “Line to long” on our FluidNC.

The same “corruption” happens to previously “good” .nc files that were on the same SD (files that I opened and “checked” on my Mac mini)

I feel like there is a simple step I’m missing or that there is a weird Mac saving/configuration issue.

Any ideas?

Closing out my own thread in case others search and don’t find the answer.

When saving in a Windows virtual instance to my sd card the file name was:
._bestpart-evermade.nc

Fluid nc did not like this.

BUT!

I used the rename function in the dashboard and pulled out the ._ and the -

bestpartevermade.nc

ran flawlessly (until I learned that my son set the axis counter intuitive to what I thought, AND that the thin plywood was just too warped to cut easily)

(and that we failed to bolt on one last router strap, but that’s a question for another post)

Have fun, try things, thank you for the forum for just being there!
