505 has too slow Jerk settings, make sure to change them in your LCD to 3.5
Gave that a try.
LCD doesn’t seem to let me do decimals. Is there a conversion going on? 3.5 is 35 or 350 in the LCD? It didn’t seem like it because it was set to 1 on boot.
I’m assuming it’s the same as sending an M205 X3.5 Y3.5 Z3.5 in the console and saving with M500.
True?
Yes. That is the same. Not sure if you want the same for Z
Thanks Jeff.
Along the same lines as this whole conversation…
I’m using cncjs from your v1pi image and since I upgraded to 505 the position data in cncjs doesn’t always seem to update when I move the router using the controls in cncjs. e.g. I move Y 10cm twice and it will still read as 0. The lowrider does the moves though. Where would be the best place to discuss this subject? So many parts involved (505, cncjs, my newbieness).
There are two sets of coordinates in cncjs. But generally, if you have trouble with cncjs, the cncjs issues are a better place to work it out. If you find a workaround, posting it here would help similar users (I’m not sure how many people use marlin with cncjs)
