E3D TITAN AERO or MK8 style extruder

I have all the parts printed. Now I need to order the hardware. I’m not sure which extruder to use. The MK8 is quite a bit cheaper, but does that mean the quality of the print wont be as good as the E3D?

Which extruder would you use and is one better than the other?

Thanks,
Brandon

Mmmmmm, I use both, and they can both work equally well. Its an import vs original thing. They are both solid options, if the money isn’t a huge issue the Aero is of superb quality, a bit lighter, and can probably handle higher print temps. Tough call really. The more I use the Aero the more I like it, at first I wasn’t a fan just because of the price. I also probably won’t be carrying them after this batch is gone, unless they make the huge dealer investment more worth it, I think my markup is like $4. So if I sell this whole batch I earn myself a free one.

I’m happy with the MK8. I want an aero, but I can’t justify the price. If I had one here, I might think they are awesome, but I’ve never used one.

It’s frustrating, because I want something lighter/nicer than the MK8, but it seems like the only next ones are $130.

I’m using a titan clone out of China and really like it…

I have both. The aero is a nicer kit over all. It can also print at higher temps. But print quality looks the same. If the extra cash doesnt hurt then get the aero. Youll be thankful if you ever want to print high temp stuff, or flexible.
