I finished my LR4 build and have been cutting test parts and some small organizer bins but I have not had a 2.5" hose to attach to the dust shoe. So I purchased the hose through the Amazon affiliate link on the LR4 docs page.
The hose arrived today and I was expecting it to be a nice friction fit into the Makita dust shoe linked in the printed parts section of the LR4 instructions. It looks like it fits correctly but the hose is 1mm - 2mm too small to create a snug fit. It just sits in the shoe and as soon as I let go it comes out.
All of my tolerances of all the parts I printed fit beautifully so I would be surprised if it is my printer on just that one part but I suppose anything is possible.
Any suggestions or a link to an adapter would be appreciated.
Just trying to be funny: duct tape always works! Sorry amazon items cant be trusted man. (Electric parts are the worse.) The duct tape teick works and if you do it right no one will notice
Will that work as well for the cobalt router? I’m assuming that the dust shoe is the same measurement at the hose opening, regardless of the router as I too bought the same hose and I was wondering how I was going Secure it to the dust shoe
