Install info:

  • Use three (3) screws M5 x 30mm
  • Designed to fit the VEVOR 10" bandsaw listed above.
  • Must remove saw blade and lower wheel and remove existing, stock, injection-molded, driven pulley to replace it with this printed part.
  • Negates use of stock drive pulley - see link above for replacement drive pulley
  • Negates use of stock drive belt - see link above for replacement drive belt

Advantages:

  • Facilitates upgrading stock 0.5HP motor to the 1.5HP motor listed above
  • Greatly increases transmission of added torque from stronger motor, yielding stronger sawing capacity and re-sawing capacity

That is a pretty serious upgrade. Do you think the wiring you kept, and the switch can handle the extra load?

If you switch to 220VAC, the current from the step up converter to the bandsaw will be lower. But the current used by the step up converter will be just as much (or more) as the motor on 115VAC.

It is a bummer that pulley costs so much.

I’m more worried about the switch than the wiring. I will keep a watch on it. Seems fine so far.

I know, right!? I searched high and low for something affordable. Lots of options with a single v-groove, but not toothed at the needed shaft size and key size.

I know I have seen pulleys for the old craftsman table saw I have. I have no idea if that would fit your new motor.

That one you linked is a single groove for regular belt. I wanted the toothed pulley approach…
