Did v1e.com stop being searchable on duckduckgo.com?

In the last day or two, I’m unable to run searches at duckduckgo.com and find results from v1e.com.

The easiest way that I’ve found to demonstrate this is a search that specifies v1e.com. E.g. the following returns no results:

ryan site:v1e.com

Meanwhile, a google search returns many many pages of results.

That sucks, I have not changed anything. Let me poke around to see if there is anything I can submit.

Thanks for the info

Whoa, even just a quick search is nuts, everything but the site and the forums.

I am seeing they use bing as their guiding light, which seems odd to me, they used to also use Yandex.

I am seeing another post saying “Bing Exploit Allows Website Owners to Deindex Competitors” so maybe I pissed someone off.

I will dig into bing a bit more, seems duckduckgo has nothing to do with it. Bing search confims no site.

That sucks!

I can not get bing to validate an html tag in my header even. I checked on another browser it is there. I tried a file upload, that did not work. WTF

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot indeed.

I’ve been reading about other site’s issues with being dropped off of bing mysteriously. So weird.

I had to add a cname to get them to verify.

All the tools say it is good to go. Having it run a fresh scan now.

Interesting read, Microsoft Bing - site gone from SERP overnight! | BikeGremlin I/O

Does Shopify not handle all of this? If not then I need to learn whatever all this black magic you are doing to fix this so I can take care of my store as well lol.

Are you not listed???

You are good,

I didn’t even look yet. Glad it’s good! But if I wasn’t you would be the first to know about it from me asking how to fix it

So this morning I was labeled an unauthorized user for v1e.com in bing webtools, but still had access to v1engineering.com. I had to run the CNAME verification again to get back in.

Something real funky is going on. No reply to either submitted bing form.

Agreed. Something really funky is going on.

I tried just now- bing.com and duckduckgo.com (which uses bing search) both return no results for v1e.com

so is it something to do with the change from v1engineering maybe?

No that was a long time ago…but v1engineering.com is still valid and being served, they just get blocked because they redirect to v1e.com.

Pretty wild.

OMG…

"Hi,

The URL in question is no longer visible on Bing. If you continue to see the URL appearing on Bing, please provide a screenshot of the search results page or provide the URL in question for further investigation.

Thank you,

Quick translation…

So this reads to me as “We’ve actively blocked search indexing for v1e.com. We did this on purpose. If you somehow find that we let those search results through, tell us so we can further screw over the v1e.com site/domain owner.”
