Hey I’m wondering how other people figure out the best height/focus, intensity, feedrate, etc. for your lasers. I finally got around to doing this today, and whipped up some Python script to generate gcode to make things like these (the squares, not the letters):
It worked pretty well, but I’m wondering if I’m reinventing the wheel here. If a good tool doesn’t exist, I’d consider putting together a web or Windows app to walk people through the process.
