Dewalt 611 Spindle Control box

One thing which I noticed with my LR2 is that even though there are plenty of outputs there is no direct way to control a 110VAC spindle directly from the Jackpot V1 ( With good Reason )

So I took it upon myself to build an external relay box.

I am still to wire it up to the LR2, but thats probbably going to be a task for next weekend.

BOM:

C14 Socket: Amazon.com
2x 110VAC -220VAC Indicator LEDS: Amazon.com
2x RJ11 Keystone Breakout: Amazon.com
2x 110VAC Sockets: Amazon.com
1x Cheap 5V relay Module: Amazon.com
1x DPST Switch.
1x Enclosure

Process:

  1. Cut faceplate out on CNC:

  1. Mock Wiring Components:

  1. Real Wiring almost done ( Soldering the LED indicators was a huge pain in the ass. )

  1. Test Run ( Relay Unpowered ) :

  1. Test Run ( Relay with 5v via RJ11 ):

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Another option is a solid state relay which can be switched from one of the jackpot outputs

My thought against a SSR is both cost and heat as there is no need for fast switching.
