Creality Laser Module 10W

Hi, anyone on the forum has any experience with this Laser Module 10W by Creality?

I like it because I can immediately use it with my 3d printer and eventually with my MPCNC (I think) with some minor modifications to the bracket/attachment system.

I don’t actually know if €200 is a good price for a 10W laser… I think I’m also going to buy something called Air Assist Kit (https://store.creality.com/eu/products/10w-cr-laser-falcon-air-assist) and probably this honeycomb thing (https://store.creality.com/eu/products/10w-5w-falcon-engraver-accessory-kit) so it’s more like €350… maybe there are better solutions to add a laser to a MPCNC? What do you think?

The prices are aligned with similar components from other manufacturers. Note that many of the other modules come with the air assist components (except for the pump), but they also cost more. My two questions are:

  • Is this really 10W of optical power? Nowhere on their site do they use the word “optical.” It is a two-diode laser module, so it is highly likely it is 10W of optical power.
  • They don’t outline the connection requirements anywhere. In particular, they don’t spell out the acceptable PWM voltage range.

On the plus side, a dot size of 0.06 is impressive.

I don’t know about better solutions, but there are a number of us on the forum that have NEJE laser modules…particularly the NEJE 40640.

Found this interesting in their list of included items: a “control box” and a type-C USB cable. Elsewhere it says compatible with LightBurn and LaserGRBL.
