Control Endurance 3.5Watt Laser and Relay using Rambo 1.4

Currently I am using the Fan2 port to control a relay (M106&M107) which controls my CNC head. I am looking to add the Endurance 3.5watt laser and was wondering if there was any other port I could use to connect the laser to the board without having to disconnect the relay.

Alternatively is there somewhere else I could connect the relay to the board?

Any help is appreciated!

Yes, you can use the other fan port.

Just so I’m following correctly, your saying fan 0 port?

Are you familiar with the wiring on the endurance lasers? I have a possitive and negative wire, as well as a small white with. Any idea where the white wire would connect?

Thanks again!

I don’t have a board in front of me right now but there are two fan ports (lots of other open pins as well). I have not used the endurance laser, but it is either driven by a 12V or 5V signal.

Ok thanks. I know the later is 12v driven ( I made sure it was after reading your laser info page) .

So looking at https://www.v1engineering.com/mini-rambo-1-3/ it looks like I can use pin 45 on mx2 for the white wire, then I connect + and - to the fan port 0. Would that be correct? I’d hate to kill the laser before I even get to try it out!

Why don’t you do all your testing with the regular fan port, when you verify things then put your relay back on.

You are asking me to give advice on something I have never used. If you do not want to use the other fan port the for some reason the other pins are 5V.
