Considering Coffee Table

With the LR4 coming together, I’m considering my next V1 project, and I need a coffee table. So seems like a ZenXY coffee table may be in my future.

  • The kits shows sold out, is there a plan to stock them going forward, or should I buy a la carte?
  • The controller shows sold out, but it looks like it may be close enough to the Jackpot that it might be worth just using it?
  • Are preferred stepper drivers different (i.e. silent stepstick drivers), or are the V1E 2209s pretty quiet? (I’ve only used them on shop-equipment, not in my living room :grinning:_

Are there any recommendations from experienced users on aspect ratio of the work area? Is a long rectangle possible?

Just starting my journey. Thanks for any advice.

I think the version that is listed in the store is retired. This looks like the current version which has an integrated ESP32:

That is only 70mm x 70mm where the Jackpot is about 100mm x 80mm. I haven’t built a ZenXY to know how much that size difference matters.

The 2209s are silent. Up to at least a certain speeds.
