First attempt at MPCNC and looking for some advice on overall dimensions for conduit. I ordered the kit which covers 24"x24" (or variations but I want square). I was going to cut the pipe today using the calculator but I noticed the calculations were using work area, not footprint. I’d like to build with the recommended 24x24" footprint but I guess I need to know the work area first to use the cut calculator. Any advice?
That should be the default values, if not you can just adjust the numbers until it gets to where you want.
OK so a 24"x24" footprint only yields 12"x12" actual working space? 50% loss? sounds like a lot but I guess factoring in width of the z rail, what’s that 6" on all sides, it’d make sense. Guess my next project will be making it larger!
With a DW660 I think it's about 10.5" depending on the mount you use. Just a little G2 belt and some more duct.
