I’ve been eyeing the competing product for years, but the price is simply too high for home use.

The compass cnc v1 will be my next winter project!
I already have some of the components at home, so I would be thrilled to get a PCB-only kit.

I built the Lowrider CNC years ago and am currently considering whether it would be possible to connect it via Bluetooth. And use the Lowrider to move the compas cnc if i need to make big cuts.
The Lowrider would only have to move to the x/y coordinates that the compass cnc is currently processing.

I already have a name: Compass Navigator :smiley:

Load up the same cut path, unplug the Z axis. That would be funny!

The fun thing is Shaper just released the “BenchPilot”, and it does exactly that :smiley:

Jokes aside, maybe have some kind of output trigger on the compass when it gets outside the path, and wire that output to a “pause” input on the lowrider?
That should work…
