I wonder if he has any plans to sell just some of the parts vs a complete kit. I would think most of us could mill our own plates and have some of the other parts on hand already. $790 is a pretty steep price for a full kit (I am sure its very justified) when I have a lot of the parts already.

It’s still cheaper than a shaper origin and you can also self source everything.

Oh for sure. I wasn’t trying to make it seem like it was over priced by any means. But I would like the option to buy the boards / sensors separate from the complete kit. If that makes sense. Not at all trying to complain about what he is doing.

Yup, that’s definitely a good call. I was hoping to be able to make the kit cheaper, but after talking with manufacturers this is the most reasonable price I was able to get it to with the current BOM. I was already sort of scrambling to get the whole shop ready for opensauce, but I definitely want to include an “electronics kit” too. That and the baseplate are probably the hardest to source items
