CNC pre-buying questions

Nice looking tractors.

My 1949 Farmall Cub, Betsy isn’t real pretty but she’s a hardworking girl

Just think.
I started this whole thread drift because I mentioned that the weather was moderating a little so I could go out to the shop.

On topic, hoping Ryan is able to update the status of the Rambo 1.4s

Welcome to the family @larryfoster !! As always with family life - all important topics end up with talking about the weather. And then. Tractors!! I’m amazed by the amount of tractors in this community!! (a little tip: mentioning @vicious1 might help Ryan notice the important questions in between all the gossip)

Thanks for that tip Turbinjorn

We had a tractor like that when I was in high school. I don’t know much about them, but it looked just like that.

I guess it doesn’t have a rear differential, and when we bought it, it had two different sized tires on it. It eventually caused the rear axle to fail. Which is just mind boggling to me.

Without a rear diff, and two different sized tires – wouldn’t it always be going in a circle???

Not if you hiked out to the outboard side…

How else do you make crop circles?

@vicious1 Ryanjust checking if you had any info when the Rambo 1.4 boards may be available.
Sorry to bother.

While I’m really anxious to get started, I can wait.

I’ve decided that this is the way I want to go for several reasons.
It’s in my budget.

Great community support.

Once again, thanks for your patience

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I have thought about, in the interim, downloading some software and fooling around with it.
Any recommended for a complete newbie (technodunce?)

https://docs.v1engineering.com/software/estlcam-basics/ (Estlcam is the preferred CAM software)

F-Engrave (Check out the tutorials on v-carve inlays)

GrblGru (Can be used as a simulator)

Awesome!
Thanks

That’s interesting.
Windows Defender won’t allow me to run GrblGru

Doesn’t seem to like F-Engrave.either
Guess I need to shut it down until I install these

That’s odd. I had no problem with either…

Well, that is one way to keep the computer safe.
