So when using fswizard. What chipload would I be aiming for based on the drill bits. Is there like a guideline or maths equation I can apply based on “endmill size” & “number of flutes” to work out what a good chip load is?
Always best to start a new topic. Even if it seems like you are having the same questions as another topic. You can like the one you think is the same but questions of your own are best in their own topic.
I honestly don’t know about drill bits. I recommend lots of test drills, see what works best for you and keep track of the load it has. That way you can input new drill sizes and adjust the feeds to get the same load.
For drills though I think it is more about pecking depth more than actual load. To get an actual number it would need to be listed on your drills manufacture’s specs sheet it will not be a one size fits all number.
If you’re looking for rpm for drill bits, do a web search for drill bit speed chart. Different sizes (diameter) need different speeds.
If you’re trying to convert chip loads for end mills into chip loads for drill bits, the two aren’t comparable or interchangeable
