Nope, not touching my murder machines. Since I have a registered business, that would be against the law as well. ![]()
Oh come one, most machines don’t want to murder, only maim horribly!
But similar, noone without at least informal training touches my finger biters.
Sometimes my partner gets bored and does a bunch of sanding, staining and sealing
The boss lady will come out and help me hold thing or put full sheets of plywood on the LR4. Hands me tools or screws. She is also mostly in charge of painting
Man, stop bragging, it’s not that big… ![]()
Boss Lady here; I enjoy being in the shop and offering a helping hand. I am often the finder of missing or misplaced items, painter, extra eyeballs for keeping an eye on something, helper in my most favorite thing of all…squaring the LR4, handing tools off, loading up of wood, clearing of the top of the LR4 and so much more!!! That’s just in the shop, with the 3D printers, I do my best to help out where I’m needed there too! I like being part of our little team. I may not always do much hands on with the machines per say but I do try to help in my own ways if not in the shop, rather it be by keeping him fed or doing other things so that the home ship runs smoothly while he is tending to NWCC business.

Nope. As Phillip already said, legal/resigistered businesses should have employees with paid salaries and insurance working (sorry JJ)
Oh she gets paid… Trust me!

I don’t often ask my wife to help, but when I have needed help because something was just beyond a 1-person lift, my order of preference is first a son or son-in-law, and as a last resort, asking my wife to help. She’s always helped. But we’re both getting older. The toughest thing I’d ask now would be helping me flip a 4x8 sheet of plywood onto the table, though often I do that by myself.
I did not think about her help finding items that were dropped and lost, but she always is willing there.
My wife isn’t into making anything out in my shop, but she’s my muscle if I need it. She’s also way better at organizing things.
Actually, my father-in-law built my workshop, but sometimes I couldn’t help because I had to work. She was out there helping him, including being on the roof using the nail gun to put the shingles on.
My daughter she likes to help around my shop. But she is really busy at school and i dont want to mess with her schedule. My ex wife
well the term explains for it self
My wife took woodshop in high school and is comfortable around all the tools in the shop. She’s done a few small projects on her own. She’s usually busy sewing product for her small business. The kids are older now and can help out if I need it in the shop. The kids and I made my daughter’s desk a few months ago.
My wife doesn’t dare come into my workshop; it has to be cleaned up first. My sons, on the other hand, do help (and make a mess). Our oldest son is currently (re)printing parts for an LR4, while the youngest has already thought of projects to make with it.
Help, no way! Wife and 2 girls, neither want anything but for me to do thi gs for them! But my youngest takes my stuff all the time! Never comes back with it either!
Does your significant other help? ![]()
My SO doesn’t like it much. I try to get my kids involved, but they likely like to sweep (except the drill press, that is their favorite).
