Canvas on the Lowrider 4

Many years ago I teached BW photography and was a passionate B&w photographer. I miss the time in the darkroom experimenting with chemicals and light.
Last night I took a few photos of My daughter and “developed” it on the lowrider directly on canvas. 400x500mm canvas and some black matt spray paint. 11w diode laser 8000mm-sek/pw75%

Wow :clap:t3:

That’s great, thanks for sharing. How did you get lightburn to burn it diagonally, or does it do it automatically if you do a raster image?

Great effect, it came out really really well.

Scan angle 45 deg. Choose a dot raster like Javis or Dither. Make laser setting slightly out of focus for a more smooth appearance specially with portraits.

Wow, NICE! Love the setup! I have a diode I could mount to my LR4 like you have done here. I think you already shared your mount, and I’m now thinking I need to go find that!

Im flattered. You are such an inspiration Doug

That is amazing! I too used to do a lot of B&W work. Have some of my better work scanned in and now I want to try this out!

Start buying 10 small canvas to try different settings on. Start spraying a layer of white so the underlying color is more vivid. One coat of black is sufficient. I find matt spray paint the most appealing. I tested both premium quality paint but the cheapest look any different. Fun to retouch with spray afterwards you print.

Can you tell us exactly which laser you have installed?
