Canadian sources for bits good not amazon

I know I can google sources but I would rather get a pre-filtered list of people’s goto vendors

@SupraGuy Aren’t you Canadian? :smiley:

Yeah, I’m Canadian.

A good deal of the bits I use come from the V1 shop, shipping and border costs notwithstanding, they still end up a good deal. This is the case for almost all of my 1/8" single flutes, which I have many of.

I have some from Lee Valley, but gotta feel cash flush to want more than one or two if those.

The rest are Amazon.

Sienci Labs is a great source, based in Waterloo ON. Prices listed in $CDN, they sometimes offer free shipping as a monthly promotion.

I think I found a decent Amazon brand, I did order a lee valley compression bit have not run it yet. This seems to be a decent bit.

Could you, for the sake of my eyes, remove everything from “ref=” (included) on? :yum:
Also, it removes any hidden information that’s being sent.

I don’t think we have too many places in Canada.
Aklands grainger
I know our dollar is so bad right now and Canada post has gone on strike.

Brokerage is another surprise expense, I can never figure out the rules some packages cross the border just fine others you get the extra 50$ hit. My favorite was a 20$ airbrush needle that ended up costing the better part of 100$ price/exchange, shipping and brokerage.

You’re not near the USA boarder are you ?
I have an address I use accross the line to help save on that.
Usually it’s 12% if it’s USA made. Tires have an extra bit iirc and if it’s from USA but made in China I think they usually ding you twice. Like on tires. It was 24% I think.
If you go accross they usually let you come back with no alcohol and 100.00 without paying.

3.5 hours or so to the border so not useful. Sienci labs is OK especially once the postal strike is over, I got my collets from them, and their prices are competitive. The amazon next day or day after is a hard drug to shake :slight_smile: .
