Can’t print in Marlin mode

Got the new sd card and - hooray - I can now read the files.

But then it stops randomly during the “print”. Hmm. And it won’t “print” in Marlin, at all. “No media”.

So you will get movement and it stops randomly or at the same point for the same print file ?
I ask this because I was having a issue with mine as I had it setup with too fast of “rapids”

Seems quite random. BUT it’s trying to print in tft mode and not - as Ryan said in another post - in Marlin, where I’m supposed to be working

Do you have a you tube account ?
Maybe you could video what you’re doing and what is happening.
I say this as you can put a link to a YouTube video.
The tft is the touch screen, like me at first the wording might be what is confusing you.
Marlin is a form of code language. It’s what a printer can read or acknowledge.
The skr board is a board that is mainly used for printing iirc. And we just use it for Cnc as it’s very similar. So that’s why some of the characters on the touch screen will appear like it is for a printer.
I am not the best at explaining my things and I don’t want to lead you astray. A video tho could be helpful.

I’m sure it was me being unclear. The screen has two modes, touch and marlin. I can’t print from marlin mode. The cuts fail in touch mode.
In touch, the machine reads the sd card. Not in Marlin.

In touchscreen mode the tft uses the black ribbon cable, in marlin it uses the 2 grey cables so it may be that the’re not in the correct place/orientation.

I have ext1 to ext 1, ext2 to ext2.

Is it possible that you have to use the SD card slot in the display in Marlin mode? I know the firmware for TFT was changed. Originally, for touch mode, the SD card slot in the display was used, but now it uses the one on the SKR board, but perhaps Marlin mode still uses the display slot.

Well…. It’s air-cutting now. Let’s see how it goes.

1 hour later.
Air cut completed.
