Can’t get power to jackpot board on lowrider v3

Finally got around to finishing up the build I started at the beginning of the year :joy:.

Have everything ready to go and plugged all the motors and kill switches into the jackpot. Plugged in the sd card. Hooked black up to positive and white up to negative. Plugged it in and nothing happened. Light on the charger wouldn’t even come on. Pulled the power cables out of the board, plugged it back in and the charger lit up. Wired it up again and zero power. Can’t even start to think where I’ve went wrong. Would it make sense to unplug all the motors and kills switches to see if that’s the issue? Any other tips?

I am not sure, but aren’t white and black the other way round? I am really not sure, but I had to look that up because in the EU they are brown/blue.

Black is typically hot / positive here.

On that powersupply the White is Positive and the Black is Negative. Its backwards from what you would think for DC. I had this same issue the first time I used one

I think everyone should get at least a cheap DMM from the local cheap tools store or from Amazon, and learn houw to measure with it.

If you’re building a kick butt CNC router, might as well get comfortable with a few more simple tools.

Then you never have to guess.

Thats Awesome!!!

I don’t disagree here. That is how I figured out I had mine backwards. At first I thought it was a DOA power supply so I checked it with the meter. That’s when I noticed the -24 and realized I had it backwards. The new power supplies ryan sells have red and black leads, and they are what you would think they should be. Red + Black -

Color codes vary all around the world. Because, why not.
