Camaro LED Sign

Here is a sign I made for my Dad for Christmas! All done on the MPCNC Primo with the exception of a few 3d printed pieces.

This looks awesome! Did you do the letters with epoxy?

Yes, the letters are epoxy. I machined out the pockets for the letters and left .1” of material on the bottom of each pocket. Then filled with epoxy and faced off the .1” of MDF to allow the light to pass through.

Very nice, what type of epoxy are you using?

Here’s a picture of the epoxy. I bought it at Michael’s And was very impressed with the results.

Thanks!

So that kit did that entire sign?

The picture shows the 16 ounce, I bought the 32 ounce kit and used about 3/4 of it for the whole sign.

How did you do the black? looks like you did a flood coat.

I painted the MDF black, filled the pockets with the colored epoxy and then flood coated everything with clear epoxy

Nice, I was curious on the work flow cause I didnt see any bleeding into the colored epoxy and saw your comment about doing a cut to remove the back of the mold.
