Calibration instructions

Hello everyone,

I purchased the PCB’s and plate from one of the first batches, and I am currently searching for the calibration instructions after flashing the Firmware.

This was not written in the build instructions but linked to a YouTube-Video, and since the YouTube-site is offline, and I sadly did not download the Video:
Is there anyone who remembers the process in detail and is able to share that Information?

I would really appreciate any input on that topic, to not end up with a bulky paperweight in my posession.

From the top of my head:

  1. Place a known straight edge on a table, clamp it down. You can do this with a piece of wood or a metal bar
  2. Mark down two points on that edge. One at 0cm and one at 30cm. The OG vid clamped a ruler above the wood
  3. Mark down a point on the compass. I put down some paper tape on the aluminium plate and jotted a line down the edge
  4. You go into the calibration mode
  5. You click to confirm 0, Upon starting you slide the compass to 30 cm so the dot on the compass matches the dot on the straight edge. When at 30 you click again confirming.
  6. I think you repeat this 9 times (could be less, but when succesfull it prompt you to do y now. So vertical.
  7. Repeat the same process only sliding the compass up and down now.
  8. Last click saves it so memory. It asks if you want to store it too EEPROM

Hope this helps!
