Cables for limit switches

Could you tell me the recommended cable lengths for the limit switches? For the X, Y, and Z axes.

The table size is 1500x1500 mm.

The cables run along the X gantry to the YZ plates so the max distance would be around 1.5M to the farther side. Depending on where you put your controller one side will need shorter wires and the other side will need a longer pair.

If your controller rides on the gantry, then all of your wires and cables can be contained and you in theory only need to run power to the gantry. It’s a very clean approach to keeping everything safe and not needing massive cable runs that move around all the time. Put your control box where you want it on the gantry and run your wires to it from each side. The actual length will depend on your runs size and location. But once you know where the controller will be, you can just lay the cables out and not have ti guess at size. Many people have extenders on their wires to make them reach the opposite side of the machine. Others have one long run without extenders. There is no real way to say how long you’d need to be without standing at your machine with your suppliers and tools. The best I can really offer is to lay it out like I said or plan on cutting/ extending as needed after
