I’ve had a chunk of Ash that I bought on the basis of ‘I’ll think of something’ to use it for.
That was so long ago I can’t remember when. So breadboard it is.
It took longer to get to the end than it should have due to not really carefully checking the gcode when it was made - especially the depth of cut vs the length of the tool - leading to some nasty collet rubbing and probably the death of a single flute bit.
But, got there in the end so there’s that.

Ben there done that the reason to never leave the room. Wonderful outcome and design. How thick was the slab?
Came out great! I dig the cut outs for slicing the bread, I haven’t seen that before
Tim W:

Most of my mills I would have to be careful not to set them to deep in the collets. I have 2 x 3 inch quarter ich just for that though.
Do you mind if I attempt to copy your idea?
Edited to be readable
Friend, if you want them, I will send you the files.
With everything going in the forum, I read “breadboard” as electronics, silly me

This would be a fun project to use the new halfpipe feature in Estlcam… maybe.

It’s meant to inlay screws etc, but would work partly for your thingy there (except for the round ends).
