Only 4 drivers but they are capable of 4.3A!!!
I am interested to see the price, I know what they told me a Jackpot would cost…
I wouldn’t be surprised if it only had 3 endstops too.
Spill the . We have the
ready. Gossip time…
Nah, nothing crazy, they wanted way too much and a huge quantity for a minimum order. So far elecrow has been pretty good, so no big loss, I just thought it would have been cool to work with them as partners not just a distributor.
If we get a jackpot V2, maybe we can try again now that it is proven.
Looks like it’s available. $56
I wonder if Bart/Mitch were aware/prepared for a potential influx of users of this new board, and the support that will come along with it??
Or if BTT is kicking anything back to them?
I was just about to ask that on Discord.
Nope, they’re not supporting FluidNC.
Seeing what they go through with supporting things without compensation, I have zero interest in this.
I used the BTT Pico that had 4 drivers but 2 mirrored ones for z and made it work with not to much hassle.
Left a comment on reddit, but there’s probably better ways to share ideas that actualize better outcomes? https://www.reddit.com/r/BIGTREETECH/comments/1gkvwxs/comment/lvzqkq6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button :
To be fair, if they haven’t sold any yet, maybe they haven’t made any donations yet. I am not sure if they are on the marlin supporters list or not but that would be a good indicator if they will be or not I assume.
There is a Biqu logo listed as a Marlin sponsor in github currently, not sure if it is them or not, but that is also only one of 4-5 ways to support marlin monetarily.
That has me thinking I sponsor Marlin through Patreon, if people are trying to check up on me it can not be seen. I never cared about it before but this makes me think I should move my donations to github so at least there is some sort of proof. Odd that I do not show up as a past sponsor though, as I am sure I was.
Just noticed BTT’s Scylla, which made an appearance at SMRRF. Specs/listing at https://biqu.equipment/products/bigtreetech-scylla-v1-0. Still only 4 drivers, a shame, because the TMS2160 sized for NEMA23, overall compute power and IO ports seem decent. Core MCU isn’t ESP32, so guessing FluidNC is not an option. Does support GrblHAL, RRF, LinuxCNC. Already used in some announced, and unannounced CNCs.
