I’m building my first MPCNC, using a 30"x37" table - excited to get it running!
I’ve noticed the 3/4" EMT Conduit from the local box store (Menards) has 1-2mm of runout on any given 31" section, as I’m cutting the Y rails.
Is this normal?
How much would be acceptable?
Any hints on finding straighter tubing?
I’ve been buying 5’ sticks, thinking they would be less likely to be bent than the 10’ sticks.
Thanks!

My mistake - looks like they are mostly straight - I believe the weld seam was what I was seeing.

I have also dug through the pile to find the best ones. Some conduit is absolutely bent.
I usually roll them on the floor in the isle

I took mine to the kitchen design area and used a granite island desplay to check . Flatter than the floor and not as far away

I did the “roll it on the concrete floor” test today on 1" ID EMT conduit being bought for the LR4 beta test.

Good idea! I did the “roll it on the floor” test to weed out any that were obviously bent.
A higher surface would be better.
