I found out how to correct the skew on my P1S after some discussion with the service team. The only one at the moment that can be corrected is the XY. For the P1S you need to send an “M1005 S1” first before sending your skew correction. This enables the skew correction until you power cycle the unit. So you can either do the skew correction like posted in the help forum where it permanently saves it and then remove it from g-code, or use the “M1005 S1” everytime in combination with a “M1005 I0.0001” (using the corrected skew number from the spreadsheet) followed by M500. They said sending the “M1005 S1” command everytime is fine. I went from 0.06 degree skew in XY to 0.01 after the fix.
I don’t want to start a flame war here, but that staggers me!
It really is an appliance kind of machine isn’t it?
Of course almost no-one needs or even cares about that level of accuracy, but still… now to discover if one of the Prusa chaps can make any corrections - I know it used to be automatic in the Mk3 - but I don’t know how accurate that was.
