AviaBullseye's LR3 build

Just a short photo dump of my build. Took me longer than I would like to admit to finally get it fully operational but its finally done.

Took up most of the floor space for a couple weeks getting all of the strut plates and table parts cut out.

Was originally gonna build legs for the table but ended up just throwing it on the an old rolling workbench temporarily. Well you know what they say about temporary solutions.

Drew my first crown, kinda iffy at the start but once I moved the marker up a bit it came out good.

My first “thing” that it made, just a simple phone stand design from AribaBox

Here she is in all her glory. Not 100% finished, but close enough for me to say its done.

Now I’m ready to do some small projects to build up the confidence to use the nice plywood for some furniture. Excited that its finally fully functional and to get making on it.

Very nice build! The pipe hanging out needs protection! That looks like it would impale manhood!!!

Haha, yeah. I somehow haven’t caught myself on it yet, I just need to trim cut it off but I just keep ignoring it :upside_down_face:

Update: It has been removed!

Dude, your rig looks great! Thanks for all the pics!!!

good looking build. also admiring your translucent garage door. i really need to put some more windows in my shop. tired of the artificial light.

edit nvm… thats polyiso insulation. shows how tired i am. just finished my build too.

Buy some really gread LEDs and you don’t want natural light. My workshop is “like an operation room” according to my wife.

yeah… i have some full spectrum and a LOT of bright LEDs … i think i need to spring for the expensive LED bulbs though… because most of these regular ones from walmart etc have flicker thats almost as bad as flourescent (sp?) … seems like i’ve had trouble 3d scanning in there even though theres tons of light because of the flicker/hz/whatever … it messes with the structured light of the scanner i think.

i have a huge picture window i salvaged from a construction site i’m gonna put on the south end before winter… like 10 feet up. (have 15’ cieling)

I have those: HIGH LUMEN LED PANEL 120x30cm | neutralweiĂź

One over each workbench. They are pretty neat.

Just insulation on the garage door, we have a sliding door on the opposite wall, useful for cutting long stock on the table saw. I do fear the day that a piece kicks back and breaks the glass :fearful:
