You can see the markings of my bowl-cutter endmill. It’s 19mm diameter and has rounded edges. The right one was 75% stepover, the left one 50%. I really like how it looks, though it should have been smooth…
In total I used five different endmills (so four toolchanges): 16mm planing endmill for the wood to be exactly flat (that’s needed for the 2mm roundover later, I didn’t do that for the right one and you can see the ugly ridges at the top of it), then the 19mm bowl cutter, then 6mm ballnose for the cigarette holders, then an 6mm 1-flute for cutting it out and a 2mm roundover for the edges. The bottom was done with a handheld tool, like a caveman would.
He’s going to be in Germany on the 17th so we can arrange the deliver to his hotel i guess. (I can’t pronounce the city and hotel name so i’ll wait for the written address )
Sure, sounds great. Delivering to the hotel might be a bit wonky because you can’t be sure that it arrives on time and if I took Express it would be as expensive as sending it directly to Sweden.
