Never forget where you’re coming from. The Primo is not on there because it’s still being used at my school.

I have a box, but I am not sure what is in it any longer. I always knew I wished I would save more in it but…space and fear of hoarding stop me. It feels pretty cool to see the previous stuff.

It took me three tries to throw out the leftovers of the LR3 and LR4 beta… I wanted to keep those iconic bits though. Der Froschkönig and the beta Ghostrider core and beta aluminium plates.
Wow, I remember seeing that picture a few years ago, that was the inspiration behind my wall and I was like “I don’t know who it was but he had a cool collection”.
Now I’m a little sad to know you don’t have it any more.

This is great. You guys are impressive! I’ve been keeping tabs on the project since the first MPCNC. I jumped in a couple years ago expecting to build a primo and spent a few weeks calibrating and printing the parts but never actually put it together. Back at it now and my LR4 is almost complete, although I ordered it partially built from Jonathan. The primo core remains the largest, longest and most complicated 3d print I’ve ever done. It never saw any chips fly but maybe I’ll hang it on the wall next to the LR4 for posterity’s sake like you guys!

I’m still using my beta Premo I will have to re p print the tool holder for my 500 watt spindle as it cracked last week and I need it soon.

And me for the LR2 bits, but at least I still have the router templates for the plates!

The prints that came off the printer I built for the beta were so mindboggling at the time in terms of the complexity, the quality, and the accuracy, I couldn’t bear to toss them. They were art and printed at the best quality I’ve seen off that printer. I tossed the worst quality stuff that was churning out immediately prior and I’m still using the LR4 beta system. A couple months ago I put a newer SKR on it and last night I resquared it in preparation for a small project for a family member and some more epoxy work. I think I tossed all my broken parts for the primo that a friend printed for me. I gave away the second set I printed when it became the second lowrider build (RC1 or 2). Each successive system I built for beta found a home with a friend. Such a fun continuum of developmental iteration. It has been fun to learn by doing.
