Anyone with some leftover 0.065" stainless steel tube?

I finally found some decently priced 0.065" wall stainless steel tubing locally, but they only sell it in 20’ lengths and they have no remnants from other cuts available for sale.

Just wondering if anyone here has some leftover pieces from their builds that I could possibly purchase so I can have the right about of material for a 24x24x3.25" MPCNC (I’m located in Northern California).

Sorry if this isn’t really the place to ask about this.

Most metal shops will cut 20’ sticks to lengths for transport. I get ‘em cut in half to fit in my truck. If you want them to do all the cuts for you they may charge extra.

Oh I get that, but the problem is that I need a little bit more than 20’ and I guess they won’t sell partials.

Since you are only 4 inches shy, you could cheat the ends a bit like this

You could cut a half inch from each end of each tube and end up with 4 extra inches of length.

Thanks, I didn’t think of that!

Same thing here in Virginia - I went to buy some over the holidays and they sell it only in 20’ lengths and charge $80.00/hr to cut it (they predicted 30 minutes for exactly the same cuts.) - It was looking like 120.00+ to get the tube… Oh, and “the guy” that did the cutting was out until after new year so I went with EMT tubing in 5’ lengths from Lowes for my first build. I will upgrade later if it isn’t rigid enough.
