And now I am getting more responses back, like the above. They are not taking them down.

Thank you very much David.
I learned today I can only devote a few hours to this or I get pretty pissed off. I do not wan these guys to have that effect on me. I will spend some time on it again in the morning. I know most of the thing he is selling are from thingiverse so next thing I will do is try and track some of them down and see if any are Non-commercial as well. I doubt it but if they are it sure would be nice to have anther user with a legit complaint against him.
Keep up the fight. Iām happy to help if I can
So I woke up this morning to an inbox full of refusals. They have not taken any down and have not followed there own guidelines. I received no response from the usersā¦
Like I said, wild goose chase. Just waiting for me to give upā¦not gunna happen.

Good idea Bill!
It finally worked!!!
I need to go through all the countries again and look for any more today, but they are taken them down immediately now. SWEET!
I am going to celebrate by finishing up the LowRider and hopefully releasing it, at least to some beta testers. I think I will be marking some of the parts with the website on them. Hope to many donāt get offended by this.
Iāve been following this thread from the start. Congrats! I admire your perseverance on this and Iām pretty sure none of your supporters, and there are many, would have a problem with any steps you take to protect the Lowrider.
High Five Buddy! As soon as my coffee finishes brewing I will get at it. There arenāt too many places I can actually put the letters but I canāt think of any other way to protect them.
Hi Ryan
About the only way you could protect your project would be to release your file privately and create a closed forum. Every set of files could be water marked. NO open source unfortunately. If you look at the more successful open hardware projects they sell kits before they release files, stls into the wild, then release parts after a grace period.
Gary
Thanks Gary. I hate to do it this way, but I might have to at least offer it in kit form first. I canāt really see how it would offend many people. It is close anyway. I have some files to finalize and Most of the parts for a kit should be here in the next day or two anyway. Closed registered forum is not really in the cards.
I know the majority of why this is happening is Shipping and import prices. For instance Brazil I think has a 95% import tax or something crazy like that I understand there reasons for this as well.
I have tried to combat this with single digit percentage licensing fees per kit. Every single time the ānewā distributor in a different country realizes I donāt mark thing up very much to begin with. So it isnāt a get rich quick type of thing they stop. So the only one that has actually ever tried was twelvepro.com and I was getting $3 per kit sold. I feel that was very fair, but I think that is coming to an end and no one else has ever followed through.
Distributors would be the ideal situation in some of the countries where import is super expensive or super slow (France).
Ryan I think you have it right. Good luck with the release of the kits and files.
Gary
Hey vicious1, hereās another one for you to report.
