An other lowrider from Belgium

Hi lets introduce myself.

I’m an 52 years old electrician from Belgium. I started building the lowrider a while ago but recently i found some time to continue the works. I didn’t make much pictures from the actual build but i do have some from the current state the machine is in. I have a moving machine ready for calibration.

Specs:

its a machine for a full sheet of plywood 122mm x 2400mm with some margin.

The struts are lasercut so no temp struts for me.

It has a router from amb with a mod for it i found on printables

I’m still looking for some solutions for the moving cables (any suggestions).

Don’t look at the mess its stil a work in progress.

You are welcome. :face_savoring_food: Feel free to post a make and rate it 5 stars. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: AMB gave me their router’s 3D model for it, really, really nice. Great company.

I fixed an aluminium L track to the back of the braces and used a small drag chain. The tape measure trick also works. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thnx for the responce Philipp. I think i posted a build some time ago on printables.

I found 3d print for wire tracks on printables and orderd standard tracks on amazon.

Dear Bart,
I am Johan Taevernier and I live near Waregem.
You can find the build of my Lowrider 4 on the forum
under the title : NEW BUILD. Greetings from Belgium.
I designed all the parts for concealing cables and printed them on my 3D printer,
the cable chains come from Aliexpress.
Should you require any further information, you are always welcome.
Feel free to obtain all STL files for all 3D objects.
Many greetings, fellow countryman.

Hello Johan,

I actualy live in the town of Waregem. I’m a selfemployed Electrician en i collected a rather nice collection of tools over the years. I’m playing with the idea to start a makerspace like place where people can come and use my tools and we have a space where alike minded people can have fun and share ideas. This lowrider is part of this idea. Ofcourse i have some woodworking idea’s i want to work out for myself :stuck_out_tongue: .

I found some draglink on amazon but i think i bought bad ones because for some reason they don’t go completely flat. So i found a parametric dragchain on printables and printed my own in ASA. I also found some brackets that i printed. Just need to mount everything.

I read your post completely and you do some nice designing for your LR. I wish i had time to draw stuf more.

Many greeting back neighbor
