Looks like it would make for a more rigid low rider… not sure about the weight.

Never had any issues with the original parts, but I did this upgrade anyway and it’s awesome. Would recommend.
In disassembling my machine to install the aluminum versions, I found large cracks in the old PLA+ parts. There was always lots of flex. Now - hardly any flex. Nice and rigid, and won’t crack if it gets too hot in the garage! The original design is great, but filament printing has it’s limits. So far haven’t noticed any issues with the weight. Hope to be able to post pics of my updated build soon.

Hmm… I can get rounded corner or sharp corner for the aluminum tube.
Looks like the inside corners are rounded too.
Which to buy?
They both work the rounded corner might just need a bit of processing where the z stepper mounts. Also the code would need to be modified as the edges of the big “V” cutout won’t line up. Again some post processing here, nothing major.
I did mine from round corner because it was all I could get.
Thanks… just ordered the sharp… it was 20% cheaper too.
