And if anyone was silly like me and made their Y axis shorter than the X, Here’s how I made my braces. So far I have not seen any problems with it. I know it’s not as strong as a solid piece, but it seems rigid enough to work for now.

You can always flip the cut. 
That egg holder is awesome. In the German woodworker forum someone was looking for a good solution to do sth like this and I suggested he build a CNC.

The table is my favourite.
The egg platter didn’t come out completely great. I think somehow the bit got pushed up during its finishing pass. Might try it again here soon.
