My wife complained that the Alexa Show was just sitting there on the kitchen counter. She thought it would be much better if it were mounted higher. So I quickly sat down and drew this little platform using AutoCAD Fusion 360. I built it right away, since I had enough wood. It took four hours from the drawing to the painting.

The backsplash in our kitchen is getting pretty dated (it was probably out of style when installed).
I keep thinking it would be neat to have one that had built in threaded inserts in the design somehow. Then you could mount stuff like this anywhere. Or a paper towel holder or a cup for spatulas, etc.
