that’s pretty cool.

That blender rendering is next level! So cool!

I made this to have a laugh at myself in an australian server where a lot of dudes are making PrintNC and granite epoxy and high strength concrete machines for microns.

Meanwhile I see such amazing stuff being made on lowriders. This stuff is blowing me away.
I am a bit jealous of the project. In australia and nz, the two places I call homes, building codes are too strict to allow anything too adventours. So happy to see you living the dream though!

I think, You can find the way. These aircrete domes are built in Australia https://youtu.be/JrVP0vwRW6k?si=UtLwbYC4Z4E3MyrF

Maybe I can do a shed  Or a sauna. I think life will prevent me from doing a house of my own design for a few years yet.

I began planning my house in VR, primarily for its remarkable advantages in visualizing three-dimensional space and the minimal investment needed to get started. With a Meta Quest 3S (I Started with Meta Quest 2) headset, which starts at around $300, everything required is included, as the Gravity Sketch software remains free to use for individuals.

To conduct initial strength tests, I printed a scale model of the house at 1:100 using a 3D printer.

Seeing that these initial results were promising, I moved forward with a 1:3 scale prototype, which also functions as a garden shed.

Once that prototype proved successful (with much trial and error), I proceeded with the full-scale building.

For more detailed strength analysis, online platforms like SimScale can be helpful. They allow you to identify any weak points in your design and focus attention on specific improvements during development.

Do you intend to cover it with earth like you’ve done with the model?

Yep, that’s the point of having roof paint that renews itself :D. Also, earth will be as additional insulation on the summer heat and winter cold.

But does it need mowing?

If it overgrows then I can use my goats for mowing

That’s cool to see and maybe once there are more of these around, it will get easier. But as the video highlights, they had to integrate traditional anchoring to satisfy the building code. It doesn’t look too invasive in this case.

Keep those :goat: away from @kvcummins. He likes to joke that we sacrifice them for good luck.

WHAT!?! YOU’VE BEEN SACRIFICING THEM??? :sob: They were just for the initiation ritual… Maybe cabrito in the smoker thread…

Don’t worry. How do I get Milk and Cheese if I sacrifice them? And Who will make the mowing part of the roof then ?

Oh no. That was quite a miscom. Maybe we shouldn’t use so many emojis when talking.

:goat: :plate_with_cutlery: :no_entry_sign:

It was probably the candles… Goats, candles, rituals… People jump to conclusions and start breaking out the obsidian knives and accursed swords. I blame the state of mass media, personally. That, and Chick Tracts (specifically, the Dark Dungeons tract, linked here from the source).

Why do they always sacrifice the girl virgins? :ghost:

If you sacrifice the boy virgins, nobody would be left to make 3d printers.
