I can’t recall if I somehow set the maximum travel for Z with the LR3. Now that I have assebmled the LR4, the V bit is no longer able to touch the spoil board. I don’t recall changing anything in the firmware but its been quite some time since I finished the LR3 so I guess it is possible because I know I have the limit set for the X travel as well. If I have to make this change in the firmware, can someone tell me wich firmware I need for the SKR Pro? Seems to be quite a few on the GIT V1CNC???
I still have a lot of travel left in the lead screw. If I recycle power and move the z axis down, it will touch the spoil board. It is only when I home the Z, it will stop about an inch short of the spoil board. This is most likely because acording to the Z position on the touch screen, it is showing 0.0. I think I need to somehow reset this value.
Yes, Z homes to the top based on the limit switches. 0.0 is determied by touch plate. however if the touch plate is below the full travel of Z, it seems to stop.
Jogging it down didn’t fix the issue. When the Z homes based on the two switches, I have a value of 77.0 on the screen. As soon as the move reaches 0, the z axis halts. Even if I load up a project and have the touch probe sitting on the bed, as soon as the distance reaches 0, it halts. I really think there may be a soft or firmware setting that I may have added when compiling the firmware. Can any one point me to the correct version of firmware used for the SKR Pro with the LR4?
