Adventures in TPU

I’ve always thought TPU was a wonder material, and now with variable hardness foaming stuff there’s a ton of things I’d love to play with if I ever get my list short enough to get to that.

In the meantime, the Fuel Cap tether on my Transporter van broke the other day and I couldn’t really see the benefit of paying $16.00 Aus plus postage when I was sure I had an old half spool of 98A in a vac sealed bag under a bed somewhere.

So I made a new one and stuck in on Printables and In three days everyone seems to have broken their own… bizarre!

Anyway, while it was loaded I made a few gaskets and shims and some clamp pads. Then I thought “well it’s not 95A but it will do for now”…

I’m not sure if that means I’ve actually started bulding an LR4, I suspect not, but I have some parts in a box somewhere.

Don’t lie, you have at least several. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Let me know when you actually start so I can start working on a V5

Speaking of tpu, i was just reading yesterday about 2.5D t-shirt designs printed with TPU at 0.2 mm thick and heat transfered with a t-shirt press and parchment paper. Print your own shirt designs. How cool is that? Since i have a press, you know i will have to try it…
