I don’t see another topic like this so here goes. My Primo is working great and now I want to cut aluminum. I decided to add an air blast system and as a bonus it will drip in some alcohol for lubrication and cooling, if I need it for a deep cut. I bought this one but there are several out there – air blast system
I found it was tricky to mount this system and how to rout the air blast hose. The Primo is an odd shape compared to other CNC machines. If I put the hose in front, it hits the rails when I home X and Y. So in the end I decided to come around the back in the Y axis as there is a lot of unused space back there and I avoid running into my cable chain and its support. Now where to mount it? It seems goofy but the easiest thing was to add a plug and L bracket to the top of one of the Z steel pipes. I went through several L brackets to get the spacing right and, if I did it again, I would make it out of 1/8th inch aluminum rather than the 1.7 mm that I used - it wiggles a little. But it works great. Note I mounted a small jar of alchohol above the other steel tube also using a plug.
