Yes, but I believe that much of the kit is not of US origin, so even if reciprocial tarrifs were introduced for US products they wouldn’t apply.
Please add Japan.
Most important jackpot controller and end mill will also be handled later?
Looks like 2% duty (on top of 20% VAT) irrespective of country of origin. We aren’t applying reciprocal tariffs as far as I know.
Oddly when shipping UPS, everything I ship is set to US origin, no changes allowed. I can change it with USPS but they tend not to ship my international packages anymore maybe that is why.
I can not imagine it would be worth my time as I expect nearly all of that to get denied for any number of random reasons.
added, $50.75 substantial savings
Jackpot controller is available already from Elecrow linked on the jackpot page, but yes I plan to off it there as well. Endmills is a great idea.
I’m sure you know more about this than me. But I do know that US import and export laws are wildly inconsistent. We follow some rules for Mexico and Canada and others for the EU and others for everyone else. Mostly, (what I’ve seen) is that the US has to match the import rules of the coubtry we are dealing with (imports and exports) and each country has its own methods for determining what counts as the “country of origin”. I am willing to bet Ryan could get it more optimized if he were a bigger company. But small companies get put into inflexible buckets to avoid common fraud.
It’s freaking confusing, man. Having things ship from CN directly and handled by a larger company that navigates the rules should really make this easier. At the cost of a little loss of control and another mouth to feed.
Stack on that things are constantly changing as well.
When you do get shipping options from a company it’s not like it tells you what it means for the country it is coming from. If I have 5 UPS shipping options, only this year did I learn it was not just a time thing.
I used to want help packing boxes now I need person just to try and keep tabs on shipping.
I just got this from Discord, if any of you though there was an easy solution there is not currently. 6-8 different tariffs get added depending on country, plus brokerage and handling fees.
I can pay a lot of money for software to help tell me what company charges what to ship where, but not what the user will pay all said and done. International shipments are literally a gamble now more than ever.
