A Sensible Build (Burly)

Cool. That works. If you wanted to try sandify, in the shapes dialog, you can choose “space filler” and I think hilbert is the first choice:

Set the machine size, and in the export dialog add some gcode to get to the start location before dropping Z.

I’ll have to give that a shot. Thanks.

Next challenge is to whip up a mount for my Bosch Colt router. There are some mounts on thingiverse for other routers, but for other purposes…

Found this: Going to print it today.

I was able to print the mount, but I snapped the upper mounting tab when removing the printed support so I did the sensible thing and reprinted the part glued the part together and laminated reinforcing strips to it and added a stout zip tie to relieve strain.

@timonjkl this was my solution for the lack of hardpoints: A Sensible Build (Burly)

I did the same for the feet but have trouble with the spoil board not staying flat on the door in the middle or a edge in high humidity

Interesting. I haven’t mounted a spoilboars yet so I’ll keep an eye out for that issue. Let me know if you figure anything out.

Don’t let me scare you it is cutting great but just irritated I haven’t got that like in want it
